Blanco Hill Country Retreat

The house has a fully equipped kitchen, living area, 4 bedrooms, 2.5 baths (one with walk-in shower), and most importantly, a large workroom. The workroom has tables, adjustable-height rolling chairs, and natural lighting and ceiling lights. For quilters there are cutting tables, ironing boards, irons, and stationary and moveable display walls. The house will accomodate up to 11 people.

When I asked my quilting friends what it was that they would want in a retreat house, they told me

• good beds
• plenty of space so we don't feel cramped
• a kitchen so we can bring food or make our meals, and a few good restaurants nearby
• somewhere quiet where we can get away and relax

Knowing how important good beds are, all beds are twin size Denver Mattresses. Thereare no bunk or trundle beds!

In addition to the workroom, the house has a large, open living room and front room. The kitchen has a  island worktop with a cooktop stove, microwave, 2 refrigerators and an oven. If you prefer to eat in Blanco, there are several wonderful restaurants with varied menus just minutes away from the house.

The house sits on 10 acres, nestled under large oak trees, ample parking and a gated entry.
