What We Offer
The house has a fully equipped kitchen, living area, 3 bedrooms, 2.5 baths (one with walk-in shower), and most importantly, a large workroom. The workroom has tables, adjustable-height rolling chairs, and natural lighting and ceiling lights. For quilters there are cutting tables, ironing boards and irons. The house will accomodate up to 12 people.
Fees
The house can be reserved for a minimum of 2 nights. The per person fee is $95 plus tax for the two nights. (Yes, the $95 pays for two nights!) There is a minimum of 6 people. Additional nights can be added for $45 per night per person (plus tax).
Continental breakfast is provided each day.
Linens and towels are provided.
One MILLION PILLOWCASE CHALLENGE
Blanco Hill Country Retreat has joined American Patchwork & Quilting's One Million Pillowcase Challenge. The challenge is to "make a difference, make a pillowcase". Every pillowcase made during this national challenge will be donated to a charitable organization, and will make a difference to someone. Pillowcases that are made and donated through Blanco Hill Country Retreat will be donated to the Highland Lakes Family Crisis Center. For more information, contact us.
The Red Bud Quilters giving the house it's first test run in January 2008. 
When I asked my quilting friends what it was that they would want in a retreat house, they told me
- good beds
- plenty of space so we don't feel cramped
- a kitchen so we can bring food or make our meals, and a few good restaurants nearby
- somewhere quiet where we can get away and relax
Knowing how important good beds are, you'll be sleeping on a Denver Mattress, no bunk or trundle beds!
In addition to the workroom, the house has a large, open living room and front room. The kitchen has a island worktop with a cooktop stove, microwave, 2 refrigerators and an oven. If you prefer to eat in Blanco, there are several wonderful restaurants with varied menus just minutes away from the house.
The house sits on 10 acres, nestled under large oak trees, ample parking and a gated entry.
