Blanco Hill Country Retreat

Nestled within oak and red bud trees in the Texas Hill Country, the Red Bud retreat house offers a unique setting for quilters, scrapbookers, and other crafty people. It has a fully equipped kitchen, a spacious living room, and 3 bedrooms that will comfortably sleep up to 12 people. The workroom is equipped with tables, chairs, and ample natural and artificial light to provide the perfect place that encourages creativity. When you need a break you can step out onto the large back deck and enjoy the view. With friends you can enjoy a cup of coffee or tea and watch the sun come up over the hills, or a glass of wine in the evening as you talk under the night stars.  I invite you to come, make a few memories with friends, as you allow your creativity to soar in the solitude of the Texas Hill Country.

The workroom...empty and just waiting for you to come! Electrical outlets run along the floor under the tables. There is ample natural and artificial lighting.

 As a quilter myself, I set the house up to accomodate quilters, scrapbookers, beaders, or any other small group. We are on 10 acres, gated, completely fenced in, and nestled within the Texas Hill Country.

Blanco is 50 miles from both San Antonio and Austin, and just south of Johnson City. As the Lavender Capital of Texas, the small community of Blanco is the home of several lavender farms, antique stores, Blanco State Park, and great places to eat.

September 2009 marked our first anniversary of business. We would like to thank everyone that has spent time at the house.
